Paris attractions, tickets and tours
Choose the experience first, then the ticket. For each one we show what the official seller charges and when to book. Where a Viator or GetYourGuide package exists, we say what it changes.

Which Paris tickets to book first
The official sellers recommend booking ahead for the Eiffel Tower, booking a time slot first for the Louvre and booking online for Bateaux-Mouches dinner cruises. The Palace of Versailles requires every visitor to book a time slot and is closed on Mondays. A Bateaux-Mouches sightseeing ticket is open and has no time slot to reserve, though it does not guarantee a seat on a given departure.

Official ticket or reseller package?
A reseller package can be a different product from the official ticket. It may add a guide, a host or a meeting point to the same entry, or change how you receive the ticket. We say which, case by case.
The Eiffel Tower is the clearest case. The Tower says only its own ticket site sells a ticket for the ascent on its own, and that its resellers may sell the elevator ticket only combined with another service, such as a guided tour. It also says it runs no skip-the-line system.
The same question applies on the water. The operator's pages that we read list one Bateaux-Mouches sightseeing ticket, valid for any departure on the day, and no separate evening ticket.
Five ways an offer relates to your choice
- Same experience
- The product you chose, from another seller. It is shown as a booking option.
- Same experience in a different package
- The same core entry with something added or left out, such as a guide or a meeting point. It is shown as a different package, with the difference named when we know it.
- Similar experience
- A related product from the same operator or attraction that differs in ways such as access level, route, timing or length. It is shown as similar and never priced beside the official ticket as an equivalent.
- Different experience
- A different thing altogether. It is not shown as an option for the one you chose.
- Uncertain
- We could not confirm what it is. It is not shown as an option.
Choosing a Seine cruise
Pick the format first, whether sightseeing, evening, lunch or dinner. Pick the pier second and the seller last.

How this guide checks its facts
- Each price and rule shows its source and the day we checked it.
- Official sites come first. When two official pages disagree, we show the one whose subject is the rule.
- We publish no rating that no source supplied, and a value we could not find is shown as unknown.
How we make money
We earn a commission when you book through a Viator or GetYourGuide link marked Advertising. Commission never decides which options we show or how we compare them. Links to official sellers earn us nothing.
